| What it holds

A study companion for forty days.

Forty is a number used in Torah for return — the rain of Noach, the days on Sinai, the years in the desert. This journal keeps forty of your own days, one page at a time.

I

Each day

Three short practices

Morning, middle, evening.

Every daily page holds three short practices to sit with: a morning line to set the day, a mid-day pause, and an evening reflection. Enough to keep the thread, small enough to fit into a real week.

II

Each week

One Hebrew letter

One letter to hold across seven days.

Every week opens with one Hebrew letter and a short teaching from the letter itself. You carry that letter through the week, and let it teach you what it can. Six weeks, six letters.

III

Each Shabbat

One kept page

A page for the day that stops.

A Shabbat page each week — a place to lay down what the week asked of you, and to receive what the day of rest offers. Written to be entered slowly, and to be left there.
