Who is responsible

P’nimiyut is operated by Melissa Sarramalho, a sole proprietor based in Quebec, Canada. References below to “we,” “us,” or “P’nimiyut” mean Melissa Sarramalho operating under the P’nimiyut name.

What information is collected

When you simply visit the site

Browsing P’nimiyut does not require an account. The website is hosted on Netlify, which collects basic technical information needed to deliver the site safely — such as your IP address, browser type, the page you visited, and the time of the visit. This data is processed by Netlify under their own privacy practices and is not used by us for marketing.

P’nimiyut does not run third-party analytics, advertising trackers, retargeting pixels, or social media trackers.

When you subscribe to letters

If you choose to share your email address through a subscribe form, we collect:

• Your email address
• The date you subscribed
• Whether you open or click messages we send (basic engagement metrics from our email provider)

This information is held by our email service provider and is used solely to send you letters from P’nimiyut. You may unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of every email, or by writing to us directly.

When you purchase a meditation, bundle, or course

Purchases are processed through third-party payment processors:

• Lemon Squeezy handles meditation and bundle purchases.
• Stripe handles course purchases.

When you purchase, the payment processor collects the information needed to complete the transaction — typically your name, email address, billing address, and payment details. Your full credit card information is never seen or stored by P’nimiyut. We receive only the order confirmation, your email, and the name on the order, which is what allows us to deliver your files and follow up if needed.

How information is used

Information you share is used only for the following purposes:

• To deliver the meditation, bundle, or course you purchased.
• To send you the letters you have asked to receive.
• To respond to messages you send us.
• To keep records of your purchase as required for tax and accounting purposes.
• To improve the site and the offerings — using only general, non-identifying information.

Your information is never sold. It is not shared with third parties for advertising or marketing.

Where information is stored

The services used by P’nimiyut are operated by providers based primarily in the United States and the European Union. By using the site or making a purchase, you understand that your information may be processed in those jurisdictions. The providers listed above commit to industry-standard safeguards for international data transfers.

How long information is kept

Email subscribers: until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete your information.

Purchase records: kept for the period required by Canadian and Quebec tax law (typically six years), then deleted.

Email correspondence: kept as long as is reasonably needed to maintain context, then archived or deleted.

Your rights

Under Quebec’s Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25), Canada’s PIPEDA, and similar privacy laws (including the EU’s GDPR for visitors from Europe), you have the right to:

• Know what information we hold about you.
• Access a copy of that information.
• Correct any information that is inaccurate.
• Ask us to delete your information, subject to legal record-keeping obligations.
• Withdraw your consent to receive emails at any time.
• Lodge a complaint with the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec if you believe your rights have been violated.

Cookies

P’nimiyut does not set marketing cookies. Netlify and our payment processors may set strictly necessary cookies to keep the site and checkout pages functioning. You may disable cookies in your browser settings; some site features may not work as expected.

Children

This site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 14. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes meaningfully, the “last updated” date above will change and the new version will be posted on this page. Significant changes will be communicated to existing email subscribers.
